App Development

Apps built on the systems your business already runs.

Zumper Innovation Labs provides mobile app development services in India. The businesses we work with already have the data and need the daily-use surface. We build cross-platform and native apps wired to the systems you run today: offline forms, notifications, both stores, and an admin panel your team can drive. An app is a second client of one truth, never a second database.

What Ships

What is inside an app build?

Screens are the visible fifth of the work. The rest decides whether the app is still running a year after launch: the release pipeline, the offline state that keeps a form filled on a dead network, and the admin panel your team can drive without opening a ticket.

The platform decision, made out loud

One codebase across Android and iOS, or two native builds, or a package installed inside WhatsApp. The answer comes from the features on your list, not from a house preference, and the trade-off is written down where you can read it before the contract.

Built against the systems you already run

The app is a client of your existing data: the same CRM, the same inventory, the same fees and discounts, the same admission records. An app with its own copy of the truth is a second system to reconcile, and it drifts within a month.

Offline behaviour that does not lose the entry

Field forms, attendance logs and order entries that queue on the device when the network drops and sync in order when it returns. Written for a phone on a weak connection in a tier-2 town, not an office fibre line.

Push notifications people tolerate

Topics, timing, deep links into the right screen, and a permission request that appears when the notification is obviously useful rather than on first launch. Every push has a reason, or it becomes the reason someone uninstalls.

Store submission and the listing around it

Play Store and App Store accounts in your name, the review process handled, screenshots and description written for the search inside the store, and signing keys kept where you can reach them.

An admin panel and a release path

The back office that drives the app: user lookup, content that changes without a release, feature flags, and a build pipeline that a second developer can run without asking how.

Which Shape

Mobile site, PWA, cross-platform app or native?

Four answers to the same question: how often will someone open this, and what does it need from the device to be worth the install?

Mobile product shapes compared by when each is the right call and what it costs to maintain
ShapeRight whenWhat it costs later
Mobile websiteFirst visits matter more than repeat ones, and links have to travelNo device features, no install base, and notifications that browsers keep changing
PWAOne codebase, installable, offline reading, no store review in the loopDevice capabilities stay limited, and iOS treats the install differently from Android
Cross-platform appBoth stores from one team, standard device features, real daily useBridge libraries to maintain, and the occasional platform-specific fix
Native appsCamera pipelines, background work, heavy motion, or platform polish as the productTwo codebases, two reviews, and a team that has to be twice as deep
Before You Build

Does your business need an app at all?

The install is the hard part

Getting a phone to install an app is a bigger ask than getting a browser to open a link, and uninstalls come faster than downloads. If the customer will meet you twice, the answer is usually a better mobile site and a WhatsApp thread, not an app.

When an app is obviously right

Daily use, a logged-in relationship, a field team entering data away from a network, a seller who needs the till in a pocket, or a service that earns push notifications. Those are the cases where an app pays for the store review cycle it lives inside.

Deciding that costs you a conversation, not a retainer. If the honest answer is a site, that is the website development engagement; if the answer is software your staff run on a laptop, it is custom SaaS.

Live Builds

Which applications has this team shipped?

CosmoVoc is a full application with its own admin panel and user management, running on the client's domain. That is the shape of work this page describes: a product surface and the back office that drives it, delivered together and handed over with the code.

Store submission, push infrastructure and offline sync are scoped per product: they are priced against your feature list, not claimed as something already installed on anyone's phone.

Questions, Answered

App development questions

Should we build an app or a mobile website?

A website reaches everyone on the first tap and needs no store approval. An app earns its place when people return to it daily, when it needs the camera, notifications or offline storage, or when login is a real relationship rather than a form. Many businesses need the site first and the app as a second release; we say so when that is the cheaper honest answer.

React Native or native Android and iOS?

One shared codebase covers most business apps and halves what you maintain. Native earns its cost when the app leans on heavy device features, camera pipelines, background processing or motion a bridge layer makes expensive. The short list of features decides, and we tell you which way we would build it before quoting.

Who publishes the app to the stores?

You do, from an account in your name that we set up with you at the start. We prepare the build, the screenshots, the listing text and the review-process answers, then submit. A developer account holding your app is not something to leave in someone else's email address.

Can you fix or take over an app that already exists?

Yes. Work starts with the codebase, the store listing, the crash and adoption data, and the API it talks to. You get a written read on what is sound, what is carrying risk, and what has to change before another feature is added on top. A rebuild is proposed only when that read says the foundation cannot carry it.

What does app development cost in India?

By feature list, screens and integrations, not by a rate card. An app with three integrations and a public content feed is a different order of work from one with payments, offline sync and a role-based admin panel. The software cost estimator turns those choices into a range, and a call turns it into a number you can compare against other quotes.

Will you maintain the app after launch?

On an agreed basis. Apps break on their own: a new Android version, an OS permission change, a store policy update or an API revision. The conversation before launch is about who watches for those, how fast a fix ships, and what happens if that team is unreachable on the day the app stops opening.
