From your file to a signed copy, in three steps
Choose your document
Pick a PDF, JPG, PNG or WEBP file up to 10 MB. An iPhone HEIC photo is converted to JPEG in your browser first. Your file is encrypted before it leaves your device.
Create one link and send it
Complete the quick verification, then copy Link 1 into WhatsApp or email. The link works for one person and expires 24 hours after you create it.
Track and download the signed copy
Keep Link 2 private. It shows when the link is opened and signed, and lets you download the signed copy for 30 minutes after signing.
Zumper stores ciphertext, not your document.
Encryption happens before the upload. The server sees an encrypted blob, a random link id and timestamps. It never sees the file name, the MIME type, the decryption key or the document itself.
Keep both links safe
Zumper cannot recover a lost link or reset the key. Link 1 goes to the signer. Link 2 is private and lets you track and download the signed copy.
Encrypted before upload
AES-GCM encryption happens in your browser. The decryption key stays in the link after the # and is never sent to Zumper.
One signer only
The first browser to open Link 1 claims it. Other browsers are refused, while the same browser can resume if it refreshes.
24 hours, then deleted
An unsigned or unclaimed file is deleted when the link expires. A signed copy is available to both people for exactly 30 minutes.
No account or email
Neither person needs to sign up. Zumper does not collect an email address or phone number for this tool.
Before you send a link
Is this really private?
Your file is encrypted in your browser with AES-GCM before it is uploaded. The key is placed after the # in the links and never reaches Zumper's servers, so Zumper cannot read the document. The trade-off is that Zumper also cannot recover a lost link.
Can two people open the signing link?
No. Link 1 is claimed by the first browser that opens it. Another browser gets a message that the link has already been used. The same browser can reopen it after a refresh, so the signer should use the device where they intend to sign.
What happens after the document is signed?
The signer downloads the signed file and an encrypted signed copy is stored for the requester. Both people can download that copy for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes it is permanently deleted and the link is closed.
What if nobody signs it?
If the link is not claimed within 24 hours, or is claimed but not signed within 24 hours, the encrypted file is deleted and the link expires. The sender can create a new link.
Is this a certificate-based digital signature?
No. This is a visual electronic signature, not a DSC or certificate-backed signature, and the link is not an identity check. Check which signing method the recipient accepts before relying on it for a regulated document.
